It's February 1st tommorow and the Dewsbury 10k has come round. I was rather hoping for it to be mild weather, but no such luck. The weather forcast for tommorow has given out snow showers with a cold wind. As the race starts early(9am) we might escape the worst.
My training's been going ok, and I did a reasonably paced 11 miler last Sunday(25th) average pace 6-41 per mile, with steady runs of about 8 miles, Monday , Tuesday, Wednesday a rest on Thursday, slow run on Friday and a gym work out today.
I have not raced since the Ribble Valley 10k so it would be difficult to predict a time for me. I would be delighted if I got to the lower end of 34 minutes tommorow.

- Live in Wrenthorpe(Wakefield) with my wife Melanie and two kids, Sarah (aged 8) and James (aged 4). Apart from family my main interest is running. I decided to start a blog as a couple of very good runners have them and thought this may be a good way of improving my times ha ha. Seriously though, Currently running approximately 40 miles per week and cycling 60 miles a week, which includes 40 miles to work and back. Started the running in 1996 when I won the gardeners Arm fun run in Morley on hardly any training. I also have a limited passion for motor bikes and when the weather is fine out comes my 02 plate Honda Hornet 600cc. It's PB for the half marathon distance is 6 and a half minutes...ha ha(only on the track of course).
